A copy of the abbreviated version of my children’s book titled “Singing with Noah”, has just been delivered to Suriname, South America!
Bill and I would like to sincerely “thank you” for your continued support of the ministry of Music with a Mission that God has called us to. The needs of this ministry have grown exponentially with book requests in foreign languages, invitations for more overseas outreaches planned, etc.
I just spoke with the Latin American Child Library Services (World Missions) this morning. They have just had a (FIRST TIME) request from a Women’s Prison in Guayaquil, Ecuador for books. The LACLS is sending copies of one of my children’s books to them as I am sharing this information with you!
Flash News: Just a few weeks ago, I was once again, contacted by the World Missions Latin American Library for the Assemblies of God, informing me that an unreached people group, deep within the Amazon Jungle in Suriname, South America, has recently been discovered! I am not
Great news. We just received another $1,750 towards books for children in Colombia…
Hey everybody. Just a quick note to say that I will be speaking and singing at the 5th Annual Montana Ladies Retreat, July 22-23-24, 2016, at Glacier Bible Camp in Hungry Horse Montana. The theme this year is “Taking Your Dreams Off The Shelf”, and we are looking forward to a great conference.
Can not help but post pictures of children from Argentina and Chile that we were privileged to share a book with. My prayer is that they and their families will read it together, read the ABC’S of salvation in the back…and if not already, become new believers in Christ.
We left Buenos Aires on March 26th to board a ship which would take us literally from one side of South America to the other. This has certainly been a trip of our lifetimes!
Visiting Assemblies of God Missionaries Sherry and Rocky Grams in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was an especially nice way to begin our journey. They were very warm and so kind to drive over an hour just to meet two strangers from America! It is obvious that their hearts and lives have been dedicated to the beautiful people of Argentina. It was especially fun to meet them because they are the parents of the young woman who has translated my children’s books into Spanish! Rocky Grams is also the brother to the Superintendent of the Assemblies of God for South Dakota’s wife, Rachel Grams-Schaible. I have had the privilege of staying in the Schaible’s home and ministered to the women in ministry there as well as shared in song at one of their district councils. God is certainly revealing to Bill and I just now small our world has become!
Monday and Tuesday we were “at sea” days and the waves were 20+ feet high! After almost 36 hours of unforgiving pounding and crashing of waves and dishes breaking, etc. My body finally said “enough!” I headed for our cabin and slept most of the afternoon. I usually get air sick sea sick, car sick but I had been doing great until then. The Ship Master came on the intercom and told us he had traveled this way many, many times by ship and had never witnessed a captain willing to continue around the Horn of South America and around to Chile in such treacherous seas and reach his destination successfully. We all applauded him for doing such a great job and allowing us to experience the complete journey we had signed up for. Once we got into the Chilean Fjords, the seas calmed down and I was much better. I told Bill, I felt like saying “throw me overboard like Jonah and I will feel better!” Lol.
