Family Feature . . . Kaylin Ishak

Kaylin (KK)  Age 14

1.  What is your favorite scripture?  Ephesians 6:12 -18- NIV - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground and after you have done everything, to stand, stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

What is your relationship like with your parents?  Very good.  I absolutely adore my parents and my mom is my best friend and my dad and older brother, Tyler are my heroes!  They are very good parents.

Are you embarrassed to tell your friends about Jesus?
No, not at all.
What makes you want to tell your friends about Jesus?
The thought of them burning in Hell is a good enough reason for me!
Do you feel like you have a call of God on your Life?
Not yet. I'd like to go into fashion design, but I'm willing to do whatever God wants me to do.
What is your favorite thing to do?
Hang with friends
What other styles of music do you like?
Alternative.  My favorite Christian song is "Grace Like Rain," and my favorite Christian artist is Natalie Grant.
Do you believe in miracles?
YES!
Have you ever witnessed one?
YES!  My Great Grandma Anderson.
Do you believe in the power of Prayer?
Yes!  It is the strongest thing I have to hold on to.
Do you believe in healing?
Yes!
What is your best memory?
I have so many good ones, but probably the best one was going to Marco Island with my family.
Who is your role model?
Mostly my mom.
Why?
Because she is open, caring, loving, and my best friend.  Without my mom our family would fall apart!
What are your future desires?
Fashion design, falling in love, marrying and having children and traveling around the world.
What type of service to God do you feel your are involved in today and what would you like to do in the near future for God?
I stay close to others and continue to share God with them.
I really want to go on a missions trip with my grandma!  I think that would be an awesome experience!

additional comments:  I love my grandma and her music.  She has a pretty voice and I think her songs are fun!

*A note of thanks to Kaylin from me, (her grandma)!  Since Kaylin "KK" was a little girl, she has always had a special love for God and others.  Her prayers for others are bold and encouraging.  When my mother was ill several years ago.....KK was only about 10 or 11.  God laid it on her heart to pray daily for my mom, Betty Anderson. Not only did she pray earnestly for mom, but she called me at least 2 or 3 times a week to remind me that she was praying for mom!  The doctors had only given her about one year to live.   I strongly believe through her "child-like" faith, God restored my mother's health and she lived an additional three, good years!  Don't ever doubt the power of a praying child!
KK and I have always had a special bond.  Even though we don't spend a lot of time together, we know that there is a special love between us (besides that grandmother/granddaughter) love, that only God gives, and I am so thankful for that!
